45°30′ north landscapes

In past work, my interest ranges from observing the cold indoors to broader views of ice and snow outdoors. The images of snow accumulation and removal are metaphors for repetition, resistance, and submission. My process transforms the original photographic capture using scans, digital retouching, with traditional photogravure and printmaking techniques. In a series of hybrid prints, natural and urban landscapes are juxtaposed to express how nature and man-made objects share and compete for a given territory.
